Going up a Gear – Labcold sponsored triathlete aims higher

We’ve had an update from James Briscoe, the triathlete Labcold sponsor who is about to compete in the Triathlon European Championship at the weekend in Kitzbühel Austria. No stranger to winning his age group (he came second last year) James has decided to really put himself to the test by entering in the higher 20 to 24 age group. Please see below for what it all means to him in his own words:

‘I am emailing to thank Labcold for their continued support this season as without it, it would be difficult to continue at the same level in the sport of triathlon.

Considering that I was knocked of my bike by a car towards the end of last season putting me minus a bike and out of proper training for a couple of months, the season so far has been going well. So far I have done four main races, Dyfi Dash triathlon (2nd place overall), Portuguese national championships (60th overall 11th in the new age-group), BUCS sprint championship (open age-group with elite competitors, 45th out of 475) and most recently Ellesmere triathlon, this was my first standard distance race in the new 20-24 age-group, considering the unideal start to the new season I was 5th overall out of the water and onto the bike and finished 7th in the new age-group.

The next race in the calendar is Kitzbuhel, Austria, which I am able to attend thanks to the funding of Labcold. Here I hope to establish a good position internationally in the new age-group, thus working out the work I need to do to beat the quicker competitors.

Thanks once again for the continued support and it gives me pleasure to race with you behind me.

Best regards
James ‘

We wish James all the best for the weekend and hope all the training and talent combine to get you the result you want!
