As part of a new initiative by Naomi House and Jacksplace, Labcold volunteered to be the first company to take part in a ‘Thank you Day’ where companies put aside time for colleagues to phone and thank donors for their support.
Ella Clayton, corporate fund raiser for Naomi House explained that the concept behind the ‘Thank you Day’ was to widen the volunteering opportunities for corporate donors, help link them with regular givers and help ease the pressure on the fund raising team.
Ella said, ‘we wanted to offer corporate donors a volunteering opportunity which helped connect companies closer to the work we do supporting life limited children and young adults and their families, and a ‘Thank you Day’ seemed a great opportunity to do exactly that. It also eases the pressure on our busy fundraising team, which in turn means we can do more to support our families’.
Michelle Rogers, Sales and Marketing Director for Labcold said, ‘when Ella talked to us about a ‘Thank You Day’ we jumped at the opportunity for Labcold to help Naomi House further. It was also flattering to be the first company to be asked to take part in this initiative.’
In less than a morning, after being comprehensively briefed by Ella, the Labcold team contacted over 200 regular givers to thank them for their valuable donations which help ensure that Naomi House and Jacksplace can continue to provide vital support for children, young people and their families who are living with life limited and life threatened conditions.
