It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew Gillespie, who played a pivotal role as a Director of the business in strategically taking Borolabs from being a small laboratory equipment provider to becoming Labcold, a leading UK manufacturer of medical and scientific refrigeration.

Andrew’s engineering prowess and entrepreneurial flair meant that he was able to understand customers’ specifications and had the ability to build equipment that met or exceeded their exacting requirements. Whether it was blood banks for the military or pharmacy fridges, Andrew’s expertise meant that Labcold gained an unrivalled reputation for quality and excellence among the medical and scientific community.

We’d like to pay tribute to Andrew and thank him for his huge contribution to making Labcold what it is today. We’d also like to send our sincerest and deepest condolences to his family and friends.
