Labcold Plasma Freezers

Labcold plasma freezers are, like our blood bank refrigerators and platelet incubators, designed and manufactured in the UK in full compliance with the relevant quality management systems. All are certified class lla Medical Devices in accordance with UK MDR 2002 ; are compliant with BS4376:Part 1:1991 and are UKCA marked.

Our plasma freezers are designed to store plasma at a temperature which helps minimise the risk of the bag cracking on thawing with a temperature range between -32° and -40°C. They are fitted with a paper chart recorder, door lock and a touch screen controller displaying air and load temperatures. An access port and remote alarm contacts come as standard so the plasma freezer can be easily connected to existing LIMS or blood tracking systems.

To aid with stock management, we have plastic or stainless steel bins that can be ordered as an optional extra.

Labcold can commission your plasma freezer for you and we have maintenance contracts designed to prolong the life and performance of your freezer. Annual calibration from our ISO 17025 UKAS accredited temperature calibration laboratory #8898 come as standard with all contracts. Why not ask for details when you place your order?
