The IntelliBlood® Blood Bank model IBB-RDBB2180MD offers approx. 160 x 250ml bags of secure storage and forms part of Labcold’s newest Blood Bank range, launching February 2026. With over 40 years’ experience supplying blood banks to hospitals, clinics and the UK military, Labcold is also an approved supplier on the NHS Supply Chain for Pathology Fridges and Freezers.
Designed for the reliable preservation of pre-cooled blood, the unit maintains stable temperatures of +2 °C to +6 °C. A stainless-steel interior with stainless steel drawers and adjustable dividers helps minimise temperature disturbance during access, while a digital keypad lock ensures controlled, authorised entry.
At the core is the Labcold Alarm Monitor, providing traffic-light status indication, immediate alerts, and user activity tracking for audit confidence. A new Digital Chart Recorder independently logs temperatures and door activity, with the ability to add notes for clear, contextual records. A 200ml simulated load probe is supplied as standard for accurate product temperature monitoring.
For enhanced resilience, the IBB-RDBB2180MD features a dual refrigeration system, delivering added security and reliability in critical blood storage environments.
