Launching January 2026, the Labcold 24-Range Pharmacy Refrigerators are designed for vaccine storage, pharmacy cold chain management and temperature-sensitive medicines. Building on the proven performance of the IntelliCold® 19-Range, the 24-Range introduces intelligent new features and refined usability to support the evolving demands of modern healthcare environments. 

The range includes 22 new refrigerator models, each engineered with enhanced temperature control, improved data access (Bluetooth) and advanced safety features to strengthen compliance and reduce operational risk.

Bluetooth Connectivity for Instant Data Access

The new 24-Range modernises temperature data retrieval with integrated Bluetooth connectivity. Using the Labcold App, users can instantly view temperature graphs, historical performance and event logs; without removing SD cards or manually downloading CSV files. This can reduce the time spent on daily or weekly compliance checks by up to 80%, freeing valuable time for clinical and pharmacy teams.

By simplifying access to accurate, time stamped data, the 24-Range supports stronger compliance with GPhC, MHRA and NHS cold chain requirements, while significantly reducing administrative workload and the risk of manual error.

Enhanced Safety With Triple Probe Temperature Protection

To reduce the risk of accidental freezing (a leading cause of vaccine wastage), the 24-Range features three temperature probes, including a new T3 sensor positioned at the chamber’s coldest point.

• Protection Against Costly Wastage: If the T3 sensor detects temperatures near 2c the system activates a Low Temperature Cut Out, pausing the compressor to prevent freezing. This unique safeguard can dramatically lower the risk of spoiled, high-value cold chain inventory.
• Uninterrupted Operation: Unlike conventional refrigerators that shut down entirely during faults, the 24-Range remains operational, ensuring uninterrupted protection and maintaining the critical 2c to 8c  range even under fault conditions.
• More Realistic Load Simulation: Every 24-Range refrigerator includes a pre fitted simulated load designed to simulate 5ml vial. This removes the need for users to create their own dummy loads, ensuring accurate monitoring from day one.

Dedicated real-time clock battery to ensure compliance

The 24-Range features a dedicated real-time clock (RTC) battery, ensuring accurate timestamps even during power loss or when AA batteries are absent. This removes a common source of audit errors and strengthens temperature record reliability.

An upgraded IntelliCold® controller with event-based logging precisely records door openings, alarms, power interruptions and temperature excursions, providing clear, time-stamped data for compliance and diagnostics. The familiar interface allows users to upgrade from the 19-Range without retraining.
