Net Zero Commitment

Reducing our environmental impact is something Labcold take seriously, and we're taking a structured approach to getting there.

We have set internal greenhouse gas reduction targets for our direct operations, aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) methodology for a 1.5°C pathway. These targets cover our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.

Our targets are:

Near-term (by 2034): Reduce combined Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 34.9% against our 2024 baseline.
Long-term (by 2050): Achieve a 90% absolute reduction against our 2024 baseline, in line with the SBTi net-zero standard.

We recognise that Scope 1 and 2 are only part of the picture. The majority of emissions associated with Labcold products occur across our supply chain and in customer use; what is known as Scope 3. We are committed to understanding and addressing these emissions and expect our targets to evolve.

As part of this commitment, we have developed Product Carbon Footprints (PCFs) for selected product lines. This enables us to identify emission hotspots across our range, and helps both Labcold and our customers make more informed decisions on procurement, product selection, and long term decarbonisation planning.
